Hand dryers

ONE recycled paper towel creates 10g of CO2e and they can't be recycled. Whereas a Dyson Airblade generates 2g of CO2e.
Easy to see why EDWPS invested in these Dyson hand dryers.

Our Sustainable efforts

EDWPS are aiming to become B Corporation Certified

EDWPS are starting the journey to become B Corp certified. Joining other like-minded companies that value and care about doing business in the right way.

What is B Corps?

Certified B Corporations are companies that officially meet a high standard of social and environmental performance with transparency and accountability. The standard is verified by B Lab which is the same worldwide. No matter the size of your business or industry sector, B Corps is achievable for all businesses.

How to become a B Corp

  1. Firstly you need to be operating at profit and have been operational for a minimum of 12 months.

  2. Complete and submit the B Impact Assessment online. This is roughly 200 questions including a disclosure questionnaire. These questions are focused on 5 areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

  3. If your B Impact Assessment is below 80 you will need to improve your score.

  4. Implement the legal framework into governing documents and submit them to Companies House. As a further commitment to the cause.

  5. Your B Impact Assessment will then be reviewed by B Lab along side your supporting evidence and an interview.

  6. You will then be B Corp certified as long as you've met all of the requirements.

  7. Next steps? Signed the agreement, pay your annual fee and celebrate with your community and stakeholders.

  8. You will be required to produce and publish an annual impact report to show your continued progress and goals.

Why companies are becoming B Corporations?

Companies are choosing to become B Corp Certified for numerous reasons including the following:

  • Attract like-minded business partners, consumers and employees.

  • Motivates and engages employees

  • Increases customer loyalty

  • Established and trusted benchmark of a trusted business

  • Demonstrates and advocates for business responsibility

  • Highlights business can be done in the right way - a balance of profit and purpose.

  • Accountability

  • Commitment to the cause

Kate Jackson Former Contributor for Forbes wrote the following: "There is a widely held view, growing in momentum, that businesses need to play their role in driving societal and environmental change—rather than leaving that to government and charities."

In many instances, it's about businesses' taking the initiative and action to be the change. To be a force for good and be a company that cares beyond the bottom line. To care for all those it may impact from suppliers, retailers as well as end user.
